photoblog image Dawn in the mountains
Dawn in Obudu Cattle Ranch, Cross River State - Nigeria.  Came out for run and found this, almost Japanese, scene.  Haven't gotten round to doctoring my photographs yet (am yet to learn) and I'm thin skinned, so we'll have to make do with virgin images and postive comments. B

I will be taking a visit to Obudu in January.
Cant wait till then. This is really nice.
Barbara: It will be great in the Harmattan (right now the lightening storms up there are something else)...fantastic views from Holy Mountain towards the Cameroon border and an awesome new cable ride up the mountain.. Just bear in mind that it is still work in progress and a lot of the facilities are yet to be completed. Still it's an area of outstanding beauty and nothing needs fixing on that.

Very nice! Refreshing, especially for us in Lagos. I am glad you are sharing your stuff.
Barbara: Thank you 'Ifeoma from Israel'. This is the Ifeoma I think it is? I'd love to put up the photograph of your husband, but you took perhaps you should put up your own site!

idleye says .... Hi and glad to to have you with us.

Nice photo. I'm a bit like you, Photoshop is a bit complicated and daunting. And I prefer to get the shot right in the camera anyway - but that is really a bit optimistic. When you are ready, try 'doctoring' - no! don't doctor it cos it is not a sick image. Just enhance/improve it a little by way of learning how.
Don't be afraid of anyones comments because there are two sorts - ones that are technical/how to and those can be useful or boring depending on what you were doing/thinking with the image.

The other sort of comments are the important ones - Do you like it? how does it make you (and viewers) feel? Can you say why? Do you know how to do it again. What other things is the image conveying? Just being a photograph of something beautiful is just 'photo art' - lovely to look at but that is about all.

Making a great image is the art of photography!
Whoops! too many words again.
Barbara: No...not too many words...all thought provoking stuff...thanks!
