What a lovely weekend..

btw in uploading this..the picture has acquired  some white noise on the shiny bits (which isn't on the original)...not sure what's happening.

I think if you had moved just a few steps to the right to block the suns rays a bit, this might have been better. I love the moment and the expressions though.

or maybe a few steps to the left.... anyway i hope you get the point
Barbara: Yes I do...it was a quick moment in time...where I wish I had been standing on the other side. Maybe if I hadn't had too many Pimms, I could have moved quicker, well actually moved at all wink

This is one of those in-between pics. Where, having got the composition correct or interesting, we are let down by a tricky exposure situation.

Not much can be done until you have a better understanding of lighting, so no "greek or Latin" from me.

But what I can say, is simply, "You go girl!", By the end of this year, your photography should be amazing... pls keep up the excellent work! smile
Barbara: I'll keep coming back to read this, when I get slated!...thanks Skee

wonderful candid and capture. A bit underexposed plus other niggles but they don't detract too much from a great shot

Upside: I think you're REALLY good at capturing Kodak moments

Downside: The sun, in particular, and the sky do lead the eye astray a bit so perhaps some of that post-photograph voodoo would have been helpful.
