photoblog image Just messing about on the river
Well lake actually  - Tonlé Sap again...these guys just reminded me of Johnny Vaughan on Capital Radio last week (or the other way round)...going on about "its so hot..I just can't be bothered" moments.... Tried this in b&w but the colours were just too rich to lose.... I do hope they caught something.

Hmm, that is a rather messy scene you've got there. I think B&W would help to focus the shot more on the two guys, but then again you've already tried that. I wouldn't know how else to frame this, and good thinking getting them in the frame with the rule of thirds.
Barbara: I guess there's too much there to tidy up in PS.

The white blurb keeps drawing my attention..what is it? Def like the colours
Barbara: hanging on the post (a bib?!) or the white paint on the side of the boat?

Interesting shot. Are they fishing?
Barbara: I think so... in the most "I can't be bothered" sort of way..

One of your best shots.
Barbara: Wow! really?

Lovely lovely...really the light
Barbara: thanks Yanik...the late afternoon light is always lovely...(well at least in places where the sunlight gets through!)

Barbara, I am glad you kept it in color...nice shot and interesting to see other parts of this world.
Barbara: Thanks Judy!

Color is great Barb. Don't change a thing. I see it as more a scenic rather than a photo of the two guys fishing. They just happen to be a part of the scene. THe vivid colors make the scene.
Barbara: Thanks Matt

Liking the shot Barbara.
I saw this and my mind said mood shot and then B&W and then I read your comments sad
Barbara: Thanks Dej...well I thought that at first as well, but it wasn't happening..

Nice composition. There's quite a bit going on though so out comes my only technical comment again: depth of field. Have you got one of those paparazzi lenses to bring you closer to your subject yet?
