photoblog image Church of England

Some clever Anglican branding during the World cup..  This banner hangs over the entrance to St James church in Clerkenwell.

sk from Great Britain (UK) 6 Jul 2006, 04:41
LOL thats funny
Barbara: On a serious note...(and I know one shouldn't discuss politics or religion amongst friends + I know very little about the debate).. I wonder how this represents more the Anglican church in England as opposed to the possible breakoff African Anglican church. Sorry that's too serious isn't it?

alberto from Italy 6 Jul 2006, 10:19
on purpose of World Cup: FORZA AZZURRI!!!! yes! wink
Barbara: mi dispiace.. ma ho Francia nelle lotterie dell'ufficio!

God save our gracious Queen!
Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
God save the Queen

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour,
Long may she reign.
May she defend our laws,
And give us ever cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen.

ENGLAND - the best football nation in the world
Barbara: hmm, what are you on Sid?

Realy like this, love the black background. Very cool branding, even the churches are getting in on the act.

I love the sharpness & clarity of the flag against the background. Framing is perfect. IMPRESSED.

Very well spotted.

Barbara: sorry...I've just picked myself back off the ground...is that a sort of "I likey"?

Suby from Milton Keynes, Great Britain (UK) 6 Jul 2006, 11:14
He he he he he tongue

You know what, I was actually thinking of that when I was writing my comments, got distracted (meeting) and just stopped at impressed, so now let me let continue from;

"Framing is perfect. IMPRESSED.

Very well spotted."

For the fact that everytime I look at this shot, it grows on me for it's soimplicity and beauty and irony, your earn yourself a well deserved coveted "I Likey" from the Subter. Well done girl smile

You've got a good eye for a striking image
Barbara: Thank you Mr Biz dev..

E Etomi from Nigeria 6 Jul 2006, 13:10
Wow, cool! Did you do anything to it?
Barbara: cropped off the stone door frame and upped the contrast and saturation...which blacked out the already fairly dark interior.. you know me...still can't do anything with Photoshop!

closetHR 6 Jul 2006, 13:40
Nicely cropped. Love the floating feel of it!
Barbara: Thanks Cindy!

Barbara,

Please visit Sparklite's blog for a lecture on the "Sparklite trinity" as you requested. (Also, I am not his alter ego, just one of his crazy friends that he denies having in public wink

Barbara: and there was I thinking it was a trinity of Sparklite, VV and Matt...

sparklite from Canada 6 Jul 2006, 20:16
Visual Vault tells the truth. He has written the world's longest shutterchance comment over on my photoblog today. But he's also telling the truth about denying him in public wink
Barbara: Books have been written with a lot less information...I can just see it soon on Amazon and Suby recommending it for further reading.
