photoblog image Postcard perfect Barbados
Monday (oops Tuesday)  morning blues..and greens.  Ok, ok... I had said I wasn't going to post these sorts of shots...but I couldn't resist this one..personally I found the wild rugged beauty of the east coast far more beautiful than the resort filled west coast.

Cool pic Barbara, I cant wait to go on holiday
Barbara: Once you've found your ticket wink Have a lovely time in Bermuda

This is absolutely picture perfect ! Adore the blue sky without a hint of cloud. I loved the east coast as well, it was breath taking but I must admit I was too much of a coward to swim in the atlantic, I only swam on the west coast where the Caribean sea was so calm and warm.
Barbara: no that's not being cowardly, that's being sensible.

Pina Colada..a few prawns maybe, a beach chair and a nice straw hat is needed right now....8.5/10
Barbara: Thanks Sam..though I'd swap the drink for a rum punch!

It is almost picture perfect, cept for the odd blown out areas here and there grin

Suby
Barbara: Suby...I didn't want to play around with this...this is how it was...blinding light on the white rocks

sparklite from Canada 30 Aug 2006, 14:57
Wow this is a lovely shot! I'm jelous. Yes. Very Jelous indeed! I understand why some areas are a bit 'bright' -- not ~quite~ blown out as Suby says. With that much brightness and the need to preserve the shadow details I think you did quite well with a technically challenging shot. smile
Barbara: Thanks Sparklite..you're too kind.

Do you have anything to worry about with pictures like this? I think not. Pretty impressive given the range of lighting and I can't conceive of anything other than dodgy "Photoshopping" that would have improved this.

A little piece of heaven. Lovely capture.
Barbara: Thanks Dej

Sola Labinjo from Great Britain (UK) 31 Aug 2006, 17:49

OK it is definitely time for my carribean vacation. Sorry I haven't commenting a lot. I like this one, does seem like a postcard. Glad you decided to post it.
Barbara: Thanks Ammo...I've been taking a bit of a break from Shutterchance as well.

All I need to be at the location of the photograph is an idea of smells there, Nature at its best, where is this?
Barbara: Dalu Chi...this was taken in Bathsheba just south of the Soup Bowl, which is a bit of a surfers paradise in Barbados.
