I'm out of town this week and just noticed the theme for Friday...so I've juggled the pictures around to play ball with the OLD theme.
Barbados is peppered with these old sugar windmills found near most plantation houses (obviously with all the sugar being grown there!). A lady living on the farm land by this mill (the Mount in the parish of St George) told me the creeper on this one flowers once a year for a couple of days and is, for that short time, covered in an amazing show of yellow. I still think it looked rather beautiful in green as well. Interestingly mills, mostly built using the beautiful local coral stone, are being used in all sorts of ways including as stores, residential conversions and garden gazebos.
