photoblog image My kinda fruit

'Fruit' theme huh? It's a hot hot day and all I can think of are cold cold Bellinis.  I promise it has lot of fresh peaches in it...honest..

PP - none ...just cropped.

Just so you know.....the Bellini was created 1943 at Harry's Bar in Venice.  Inspired by the pink glow Giuseppi Cipriani admired in one of  15th-century Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini's paintings, the purist version is made with fresh pureed white peaches with a bit of raspberry puree to give the drink the requisite pink colour.  Should you wish to drink one today, you'll need:

2/3 cup white peach puree (use yellow peaches if white not available).  For the puree -peel fresh peaches, cut up in pieces and blend in a food processor.)
1 teaspoon raspberry puree.

1 bottle chilled Champagne or Italian sparkling wine  (the original was/is made with Prosecco)

Place 1 1/2 tablespoons puree In the bottom of each (chilled) flute
and add 2 - 3 drops of the raspberry puree. Add wine and serve. Cin Cin!

Nice interpretation smile Feel the concrete is a bit heavy/dominant in the shot but still a nice idea
Barbara: Yes...another thing for me to learn to iron out in PS! Thanks

Fantastic shot. Nothing like a drink out on the terrazo.
Barbara: Cheers!

I think you should have adjusted your colours and contrast in post processing, they seem a bit flat. That sure looks like one refreshing drink!
Barbara: I'm going to TRY and learn a bit about PS this weekend....Thanks...

Second Asiko's & Veloran's comments. It't too hot to think at the moment smile
Barbara: I just love this hot weather...

Does really make you want to drink it. I got no champagne in the fridge so I'll have to make do with a beer and some pinapple sad

I'm not really competent with adjusting colour, contrast and lighting so I often cheat and use ms picture viewer auto adjust function. Sometimes it doesn't work well but others it's good enough for me.
